The Position:
This roe is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.

We are seeking a high-calibre individual to make a real difference, as Assistant Cargo Services Manager – Special Cargo, your principle responsibilities are to support network-wide cargo safety, operational excellence and service quality by developing standards and handling procedures of special cargo for both cargo and mail products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop the standards and handling procedures of special cargo products.
  • Regularly review, update and distribute all documents related to special cargo as to fulfill the requirements of the airline group & regulatory bodies and customers’ expectations.
  • Provide guidelines to the investigation of any special cargo related irregularities.
  • Pre-assess port competencies in handling of specific cargo products and coordinate with parties involved in setting up local handling procedures.
  • Coordinate with external consultants to analyze product and packaging specifications.
  • Represent the airline group in IATA for the handling of special cargo working group such as the IATA Live Animals and Perishable Board, Time and Temperature Task Force.
  • Conduct port audit.
Job Requirements :
  • Tertiary education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in air cargo operations with supervisory experience.
  • Sound cargo services and operational knowledge, e.g. Dangerous Goods handling and regulations, special cargo handling and regulations, Cargo Services and Tariff etc.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English. Spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua)  is preferred.
  • Excellent business acumen with good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Sound planning and organizing skills with the ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks within defined time constraints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to interact with people at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Willing to travel overseas as and when required.
