The Position:

The Development Practice Lead is responsible for leading and building Development community of practices, implementing and managing the practice’s frameworks, processes and toolsets.  The role is responsible for the alignment and integration of the practice with the other I.T practices including the Architecture, Development, Project Management and Testing practices.

Key responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, acquire, support, monitor and evaluate development frameworks for IMT development teams
  • Develop guiding principles, streamline development processes and enhance development methodologies for Information Management
  • Lead and build communities of Development Practices to continue evolving frameworks
  • Evaluate and create tools and techniques that support development methodologies and best practices
  • Provide trainings to development teams to ensure the Practices are accepted and understood by the communities
  • Provide metrics, benchmarking, reporting and maturity model to measure the control system and framework
  • Consolidate and extern SDLC to support waterfall and Agile-based methodologies
  • Enhance development artifacts like FSD, TSD and estimation to support different types of development methodologies
  • Apply a structured change management approaches and leading change to mitigate or eliminate risks and resistance
  • Conduct internal audits for development teams and communicate for improvements
Job Requirements :
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Software Development, from small to large scale projects, with at least 2 years of experience in IT process improvement    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Passion for development methodology, frameworks, practices and good leadership skills.
  • Solid knowledge of development methodologies like waterfall, RUP, Agile and Scrum.
  • Extensive experience with all aspects of SDLC management.
  • Experience in application management, application development, resource management, vendor management and COTS/Package solutions.
  • Experience implementing IT processes based on accepted, industry standards such as CMMI, CobiT, PMBOK, Lean/Six Sigma, Design For six Sigma(DFSS).
  • Understand the organization structure, behavior and culture that may impact the process of change.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work independently with focus towards overall vision and direction.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written skills
  • Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices, and experience in IT Audit.
  • Knowledge in IServer and other tools to document the modeling, requirement and solution design.
