  • We are looking for a Technical Interface Manager to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Your role

  • This position will serve as the lead technical representative for the Riyadh Metro for the interface between BT’s E&M scope (Ansaldo STS) and the civil scope of work provided by others.
  • This position requires general knowledge and experience of the civil and E&M scope, good communication skills and leadership skills.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Leading the scope split definition between Civil/E&M, including establishment/update of the scope split documentation and working with BT sub-system engineers to establish and develop the Design / Construction Interface Manual (D/CIM) that contains the interface between BT and civil scope. Update the D/CIM as required during design development and key decisions made with civil party.
  • Support review and establishment of project alignment (mathematical horizontal and vertical alignment) and freezing/configuration management of alignment for distribution to key project stakeholders (including ASTS suppliers, internal customers).
  • Co-ordinate the review of the civil scope design drawings for stations, guideway, substations and depots to confirm suitability with BT scope of work. This requires significant liaison with various internal stakeholders (BT subsystem engineers) as well as external civil/client stakeholders (station designers - architects/engineers, guideway designers, etc.).
  • Support development of key handover and QC documents for civil scope. Support review and acceptance of civil handover/QC material (including, for example, as-built beam tolerance data for monorail beams).
  • Support and facilitate various analysis related to interfacing between BT and Civil scope (such as dynamic envelope clearance, depot/yard storage layout, walkway arrangement, grounding/stray current provisions, noise/vibration, conduit/blockout requirements, track plan including travel time/headway).
  • Leading regular interface meetings between BT, Ansaldo STS and Civil parties and facilitate actions through publishing minutes of meeting and letters between BT, Ansaldo and Civil Parties. Write correspondence to support the flow of information between Project Management and the client, procurement and the suppliers, and stakeholders within the company.

Qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering capacity.
  • 10 years experience in a similar role.
  • Significant civil and E&M engineering experience, car train knowledge.
  • Good organization and communications skills, leadership skills.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English.
  • This role will require frequent travelling to Canada and Italy.
