  • We are looking for an Operations & Maintenance Manager to be based in Jeddah (KAIA Airport, Saudi Arabia)

Purpose of the job:

  • Provides overall leadership responsibility and accountability for the success of a Service Delivery Center (SDC), located in the Middle East.
  • Is primary Bombardier representative to the customer and community, demonstrating the highest level of ethical professionalism
  • Maintains overall accountability for talent management and development the SDC

    Responsibilities:
  • Leadership – Maintains mutual respect and an authoritative style. Is hands-off but involved in most decision making.
  • Engagement – Understands local culture to facilitate employee engagement, at all levels, but relies on Managers and Supervisors to support employee engagement.
  • Talent Development– Supports employee development for local SDC as well as other Sites. Recognizes limitations due to geography, culture, and political environment.
  • Safety Culture – Understands the importance of creating a true safety culture and sets the tone at the Site. Complies with established safety policies and understands the value of creating a safety culture. Solicits support of Managers/Supervisors to facilitate and embed a true safety culture.
  • Business Expertise– Has a good understanding of cultural drivers of business relationships and how they interact with the commercial contract
  • Customer Influence – Positions self as a trusted partner in the business by developing sound partnerships and delivering through local business culture.
  • Technical Expertise – Relies on technical staff for their expertise while focusing on business and contract knowledge as well as maintain close customer relationship.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, business or other related field preferred.
  • Ideally 10 years proven experience demonstrating success in developing and leading similar organizations, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Proven leadership skills in a technical/maintenance environment.
  • Ability to remove internal and external road blocks and good problem solving abilities
  • Good management of internal and external client expectations
  • Strong communication skills.
