Your Role
Manage the delivery of the Automatic Train Control (ATC) and Communications engineering scope for the Project from contract signature to revenue service introduction. Provide the lead BT technical interface on Automatic Train Control and Communications issues with the client, supply chain, consortium partners and BT sister divisions.

Your Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the multi-site (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, USA and Canada) engineering team employed on the Automatic Train Control (ATC) and Communications sub-projects from bid handover to full service introduction, ensuring an effective integration into the overall project engineering team.
  • Provide the primary technical interface for ATC and Communications issues, or agreed delegated representative, with the client, supply chain and sister divisions (RCS, BTNA and PPC).
  • Manage the effective integration of the ATC and Communication systems within the overall project engineering programme, interfacing with other BT technical disciplines and consortium partners as required.
  • Define the ATC and Communications engineering deliverables required by the contract, suppliers, approval bodies and BT governance. Generate detailed delivery schedules and subsequently manage the execution of the engineering programme.
  • Manage the ATC and Communications engineering budget with respect to heads, hours and Earned Value.

Qualifications
  • Professionally Qualified Engineer in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
  • Technical knowledge and experience of ATC and Communications system products and their associated sub-systems. Good working knowledge of key technical and operational interfaces including Vehicles, PS & D, Depot Equipment and Platform Screen Doors.
  • System Integration experience of complex transportation schemes.
  • Experience of management of large engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of system approval processes and bodies.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English and knowledge of Arabic language will be a distinct advantage.
