POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Planner plans and schedules proposal efforts by compiling cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
  2. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts.
  3. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings.
  4. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
  5. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
  6. Plan aircraft completion projects through interpretation of program statements of work, engineering drawings, technical manuals, directives, and other specifications.
  7. Assist in the development of PDM and MOD routers to provide guidance for sequencing and work instruction detail.
  8. Responsibilities require liaison project planning activities with engineering, customer and production personnel.
  9. Be fully engaged in the upfront planning of all projects, present and future, with the ability to respond to QRC and Drop In projects in a minimum amount of time with a reasonable degree of accuracy.
  10. Will use MS Excel and Access software.
  11. This position will communicate and interact with our customer and program office at all levels in a manner that is professional and effective.
  12. Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
  1. B.S. in Business Management or equivalent. PMP certification a plus.
  2. 2-4 years aviation experience in Planning or Scheduling.
  3. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  4. Effective problem solving skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  1. Must understand team dynamics and have the ability to work in a collaborative or independent environment.
  2. Must have strong skills with Microsoft Project and Excel, Critical Path methodology, IMP/IMS Development and Program Life Cycle knowledge.
  3. Proven schedule analytical skills.
  4. Ability to work in a deadline driven environment while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks while being complete and thorough in the products and results being created.
