Job Description :- This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
- We are seeking a high calibre individual to join our Taxation Team in the Financial Services Department.
Key responsibilities:- To provide day-to-day salaries tax advice, both Hong Kong and overseas, from an employer’s perspective relating to the Group’s staff policies, and ensure proper implementation going forward
- To liaise with line departments, in particular, Personnel Department, Flight Operation Department and Inflight Services
- Department for payroll taxes compliance in various jurisdictions
- To monitor tax reporting basis in overseas tax jurisdictions
- To handle tax equalization matters of outbound secondees
- To oversee tax reportings of tax-equalized secondees in overseas tax jurisdictions, corresponding applications for HK tax exemption claims and relevant tax reconciliations
- To manage the tax accrual account in respect of the above tax equalization
- To liaise with external tax advisors on any of the above salaries tax matters
Job Requirements :- University Graduate in Business/Economics/Accounting or related discipline
- Qualified accountant in HKSA/ACCA equivalent
- At least 5 years’ experience with sizable audit firm, specializing in salaries/corporate tax, preferably with experience in regional tax works
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- An eye for details and good presentation skills
- A team player willing to accept responsibility and able to work under pressure
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Excellent spreadsheet skills
- Willing to travel occasionally
