Description

  • Responsible for the daily operations of flydubai at the designated outstation and for ensuring the highest levels of customer service are afforded to our passengers during both normal operations and at times of programme disruption. Liaising with our contracted ground handling provider, the airport authority and other governmental agencies the SM will ensure appropriate allocation of resources to meet the airlines needs whilst working within a defined budget.

    Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Manage, organise and coach the Airport Services team
  • Ensure adequate internal and external resources are available and correctly trained, deployed & presented
  • Monitor contracted suppliers against established KPI’s and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures
  • Drive service delivery to ensure contractual KPI’s are satisfied and/or exceeded
  • Establish process to facilitate swift authentication of invoices against services provided
  • Monitor airport facilities and liaise with Terminal Management to initiate corrective actions as necessary
  • Ensure completion of regular competence checks and audits of outsourced service providers
  • Ensure prompt reporting of any irregular events and conduct follow-up investigations to derive appropriate corrective and preventative actions
  • Identify underlying physical or procedural problems and recommend and implement solutions
  • Represent the company at monthly GHA performance meetings, AOC’s etc

 

Primary Objectives:

  • Delivery of a safe and secure operation for all FZ operations.
  • Manage the station in accordance with designated FZ procedures and policies
  • Delivery of ourstanding levels of customer service to all FZ customers
  • To deliver service in accordance with company determind KPI’s , and monitor and report the same as required.

Job Requirements

  • Broad knowledge and experience in: Airport/ Airline Operation, including all aspects of customer service , operations and weight and balance  
  • Above average skills in:  Ability to manage interface with state owned stakeholders, and complex management relationships 
  • Excellent skills in: Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills and good grooming
  • Demonstrated ability to:  Be well organised, able to work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to:  Communicate fluently in spoken and written Hindi and English
  • Demonstrated ability in:  Excellent team-management and motivational skills
    Education and Experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience:  University Graduate or higher
  • Years of experience:  5+ years of experience in airport/airline operations covering both over-wing and under-wing activity, with management experience in at least one discipline
  • Specialized training in: Indian airport security clearance is highly desirable  
  • Active affiliations:  Ability to live and work in India

Work Environment

  • This is a management role , but requires 24/7 availability and flexibility to respond to operational needs
  • Working hours will vary, however primary responsibility is to cover the operation.
  • This role will require occasional travel for training and company business, as well as limited periods providing relief coverage for other managers at other locations
