The Position:
This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.

We are seeking a high-calibre individual to make a real difference, as Assistant Cargo Services Manager – Network Performance, your principle responsibilities are to develop and maintain a system of cargo operations and quality metrics; the analysis and reporting structure built around such metrics; and to enable and support closer management and continuous organizational improvement in our network and port performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Port Performance Management
  • In close liaison with the Cargo Services(CSV) Managers and outports to develop and maintain key metrics of port performance that reflect performance against what really matters and makes a difference to the quality of CX/KA cargo ops and service activity, and thereby to our customers and business.
  • Develop and maintain port and network targets in respect of the agreed metrics to drive continuous organizational improvement.
  • Produce regular Key Performance Index (KPI) Scorecard performance reports (monthly, 6-monthly, annual), with in-depth commentary and analysis, to track and distinguish performance status, command management attention, sustain momentum for improvement, and foster healthy competition among ports..
  • Develop analysis support tools to enable deeper-dive examination of particular performance elements.
  • Conduct regular reviews on performance trends and highlight the need for any in-depth analysis on particular ports or area of focus.
  • Communicate with ports and keep abreast of local developments that will have an implication on port performance.
  • Develop and coordinate future port performance awards.
  • Initiate service improvement programme(s) with the local team in light of the observation from port visits as well as the quantitative findings from performance data.
  • Compile port performance reports on regular basis.
  • Work with Training to develop learning resources to support the ports in performance management.
2. Port Performance Health Check
  • Develop a port performance health check programme, including setting port performance target(s).
  • Support the Cargo Performance Management Programme for ports failing to achieve the port performance target.
  • Regularly validate the Cargo Performance Management Programme to ensure it meets with the changes in policy and standard.
3.Training, Implementation and Performance (TIP) Projects – New Port / Ground Handling Agent (GHA) Change cut-over Coordination (as assigned)
  • Support TIP  team in terms of New Port setup or GHA change.
  • Conduct GHA pre-assessment.
Job Requirements :
  • Tertiary education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in air cargo operations with solid supervisory experience.
  • Sound cargo services and operational knowledge e.g. Dangerous Goods handling and regulations, special cargo handling and regulations, Cargo Services and Tariff etc.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English. Spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua)  is preferred.
  • Excellent business acumen with advanced data management and analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Sound planning and organizing skills with the ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks within defined time constraints.
  • A self-motivated leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to interact with people at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Independent and detailed oriented.
  • Willing to travel overseas as and when required.
