The Position: This position is responsible for the direct supervision of staff for the total restoration of the exterior finish of the aircraft by, masking, de-painting and reapplying the finishing/polishing on the aircraft. Responsible for the inspections of the tasks to make sure they comply to the standard of corporate image regarding aircraft exterior appearance in accordance with engineering work sheets, paint manufacturer?s data sheets and application of company livery from the engineering drawings.

It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66. Experience and Qualifications:
- Must have served an apprenticeship in aircraft painting with an airline or attended formal training in aircraft painting at a maintenance organisation and completed 7 years post training.
- Must have a minimum of 5yrs wide body aircraft refinishing experience.
- Must have managed a team of junior painters/abraders and carried out the OJT required in the correct masking, abrading and painting procedures.
- Knowledge of safety, human factors, and general aircraft engineering practices pertaining to aircraft painting.
- Knowledge of aircraft manuals and engineering drawings pertaining to the rework of paint finishes and correct application of markings.
- Knowledge of different coating systems and the application thereof.
- Must have the ability to read, write and converse fluently in English.
