Description/Tasks
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Quality Engineers to achieve organizational objectives and goals
  • Manage and ensure the fulfillment of team’s daily operational and long-term deliverable
  • Manage and ensure the validity of all JBSL Part 145 / 21G approvals - Liaise with National Airworthiness Authorities on approval applications, MOE/POE and audit matters
  • Manage and continually improve the independent compliance monitoring and feedback system to ensure compliance with Part 145/21G/MOE/POE/DOE and aviation SMS requirements, OEM Service Center requirements, established standards and practices
  • Assist in the development of new facilities and processes to ensure aviation regulatory requirements and practices are integrated as part of the change
  • Review MOE / POE / SMS Manual and related procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Identify upcoming Part 145/21G regulations, analyze potential impacts on operations and advise Site  Management on business impact and the acceptable means of compliance
  • Monitor, evaluate and provide feedback to Site Management on the performance of the aviation safety management system
  • Manage the company’s documentation system, assess system efficiency & control
  • Conduct briefings, coach and advise operational staff on procedures and regulations
  • Lead and conduct Part 145/Part 21 G certifying staff assessments
Qualification/Experience
  • Minimum ten years of experience in an aircraft maintenance / production environment, out of which five years of experience in a quality assurance environment
  • Three years of experience leading and managing a QA / QC team. Able to drive: results, change and teamwork.
  • Formal qualification in QMS, SMS, ISO 9000 auditing techniques, MEDA investigation techniques, and human factors error management
  • Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality / safety management and continual improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of EASA Part 145, Part M, Part 21G, Part 21J, Part 66, Part 147, Human Factors, SMS, MEDA investigation, ISO9000 auditing concepts
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
  • Effective report writing and procedure / process writing skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details
  • Good leadership qualities to drive quality / aviation safety programs to successful completion
  • Self-starter and has the ability to use his own initiative
  • Problem solving and facilitation skills
  • Degree in a mechanical / electrical / industrial / aeronautical engineering or hold an ICAO aircraft maintenance license or pilot’s license. Post graduate diploma / certificate in Management preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good MS Office experience
  • Willingness to take on a wide range of tasks
