Job Description :
This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities:

Where requested and within the remit of the role and current skill set:
  • Be Responsible for implementing CM, INV and RES related data and administration activities within the data environment. This includes responsibility for effectively maintaining business rules, roles and permissions and other data related requests and investigations within the Altea Suite - CM / INV / RES (and FM for the Departure Plan)
  • Process and action requests for change to business rules from (but not limited to) any of the following items: change of aircraft type, destination, add aircraft, add or change ground handling agent, add or remove codeshare arrangement, regulatory or compliance changes and updates. RES/INV business rules conflict in UAT (e.g. WRT changes the rules in UAT impact CM UAT)
  • Act under direction from the governance group,  to process changes to business rules
  • Evaluate business rule(s), PCV effectiveness and add value by advising on improvement opportunities (future vision)
  • Provide support to ongoing CM system development and community enhancements
  • Via the Admin GUI; create, modify, delete and compare business rules
          - All CX/KA and Partner Airlines (GHA) - Departure Plan - All configuration settings i.e. IATCI,
            Messenger, PCV (Amadeus Retailing Platform), TTY, etc
  • Via NGI, INV rules to support testing and training (not Production)
  • Assist  with Initial rule creation driven by Solutioning and Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) activities
  • Support and assist Solutioning and BPR activities as requested
  • Create and maintain CM CX/KA and CM/INV GHA business rules in the Production environment (where possible)
  • Ensure all port / city pair, region data is created in a timely manner
  • Validate and / or Modify business rules (exclude INV) set-up in UAT / SKL and PDT after each refresh and restore cycle.
  • Manage and maintain a change control document of all rules and settings
  • Support and assist Training activities with SKL set-up and maintenance
  • Support and assist ETT (Enterprise Test Team) and BU’s across the programme testing phases with set-up, maintenance and change of test data
  • Support and assist with defect resolution
  • Support and co-ordinate QC/PTR defect resolution (e.g. who will perform first hand diagnosis)
  • Create and maintain necessary  documentation to assist with knowledge sharing of business rule set up and maintenance
  • Work with and support the Infrastructure team
  • Undertake necessary training to ensure skills are current and required
  • Via the Security Admin GUI (for CM and INV – S&D responsibility) – RES via ACE or Cryptic
  • Create and maintain permissions, roles and ACLs
  • Map current CUPAC duty / access codes to CM
  • Map and maintain current CUPAC users to CM
  • Create and support test and training User Id’s as requested.
  • Manage and maintain User Id’s as per Cathay’s production audit and security guidelines
  • Ensure roles and permissions mapping meets the business needs and protects the operation
  • Participate in the review of 1A release notes

Role criteria
  • Knowledge of airline systems, airline experience preferably in the areas of reservation, inventory, ticketing, DCS, GHA, IATCI, BSM
  • Ability to work at a detailed level in a consistent manner, under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience working within an IT environment
  • High demonstrable level of; written communication/ Verbal communication
  • Ability to work effectively and to prioritize own workload
  • Highly self motivated – achiever of targets / deadlines, both personally and through team
  • Effective team player with ability to build strong working relationships
  • Propensity toward improving own performance and achievement of objectives
  • Pragmatic approach
  • Good standard of secondary education
