Job Description :
This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.

Internal Audit Department is responsible for providing independent and objective evaluations of the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control systems in various areas and functions of the Company and its group’s companies and making relevant recommendations for improvement.  Reporting to the Group Internal Audit Manager, the incumbent will manage a team in carrying out audit assignments within the Cathay Group and ensure quality auditing and consulting services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality of audit projects; and provides consulting services to management
  • Perform complex level professional internal auditing work which involves leading or conducting audit projects as well as providing consulting services to the organisation’s management and staff
  • Works independently under general direction with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment
  • Provide training, coaching, and supervision to internal audit staff
  • Maintain all organisational and professional ethical standards within the department
  • Manage the identification and evaluation of the organisation’s risk areas and provide major input to the development of the annual audit plan
  • Manage the performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analysing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures
  • Manage the audit staff in conducting interviews, reviewing documents, developing and administering surveys, composing summary memos, and preparing working papers
  • Manage the audit staff in the identification, development, and documentation of audit issues and recommendations
  • Communicate the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to the management
  • Monitor the follow-up process and prepare a suitable summary and analysis for inclusion in report to the Audit Committee
  • Develop and maintain productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings
  • Pursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by management
Job Requirements :
  • Degree in Business related discipline plus a recognized Auditing / Accounting professional qualification (e.g. CIA, CPA)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in auditing, accounting or business analysis gained from an internationally recognized accounting firm or sizable multi-national organization
  • At least 3 years experience in supervisory role
  • Sound analytical and report writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convince and influence others
  • A team leader who is self-initiated, independent and able to meet tight schedule
  • Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with teammates and all levels of staff members from various business units
  • Excellent command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Willing to travel frequently
