Emirates to Start Airbus A380 Aircraft Flight Service to Los Angeles

DUBAI, U.A.E., Emirates announced the introduction of Airbus A380 aircraft on the flight service from Dubai to Los Angeles (L.A.) starting on December 2nd, 2013.
  
Orhan Abbas, Emirates commercial senior vice-president of the Americas, said: ““Demand for our award-winning onboard service has steadily grown and customers have been requesting our industry-leading A380 to L.A. for some time now.

"As Los Angeles is known for its luxury and the Hollywood lifestyle, bringing our A380 into the market was a natural fit as it allow every Emirates passenger the chance to experience the glamorous life at 35,000 feet before they arrive in L.A.” 
 
The 489-seat Emirates Airbus A380 aircraft has 14 first class, 76  business class and 399 seats in economy class. The aircraft replaces the Boeing 777-300 ER which has serviced the route previously.
  
The A380 service will operate daily as EK215 departing Dubai at 0820hrs (local time) and arriving at Los Angeles’ Tom Bradley International Terminal at 1250hrs (local). The return flight, EK216, departs Los Angeles at 1600hrs (local) and arrives in Dubai at 1950hrs (local) the following day.
 
The Airbus A380 flight service to Los Angeles is in addition to the twice daily Airbus A380 currently in service between Dubai and New York’s John F. Kennedy airport. Emirates, the largest Airbus A380 operator, has 34 Airbus A380s in service and an additional 56 Airbus A380s on order; receiving one Airbus A380 delivery per month, on average.
Return
