Emirates Appoints New Vice President Commercial To Oversee Operations In U.A.E

Dubai,  Emirates is pleased to announce the appointment of Khalid bel Jaflah, Vice President Commercial for U.A.E; to further develop the company’s operations in the country.

“Khalid has been an integral employee of Emirates for eight years and this dedication and commitment is reflected in his appointment to the role of Vice President Commercial for U.A.E,” said Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran Emirates. “Khalid has consistently shown his ability to reach and exceed set targets and is a valuable asset to Emirates.”

Since joining Emirates in 2001 Bel Jafla has been exposed to a number of diverse markets where he has been able to implement new strategies and expand his skill set. He has held managerial roles in Syria, Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal and has been previously exposed the U.A.E market as well as undertaking a challenging assignment in India.

He has won several awards throughout his service including the highly coveted, Outstanding UAE National Trainee of Emirates Group, presented by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group as well as the CEO of Chevron Texaco.

Commenting on his appointment Bel Jaflah said, “The U.A.E is the home and heart of Emirates and as a U.A.E National I am particularly delighted to have the opportunity to further drive the company’s growth in my home country.”

“This is an exciting move and I am confident that my substantial experience in other global markets will hold me and my new team in good stead to steer Emirates operations in the U.A.E into the future.”

Bel Jaflah has a Bachelors Degree in Science from the International University, majoring in Business Administration. He also holds a Senior IATA Diploma in Airline Management and was one of the very first Emirates employees to graduate from Cranfield University on the Emirates High Potential Programme.
