ADAT Extends Long Term Relationship with Thomson Airways

Abu Dhabi, At the Dubai Airshow today, Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT), the Middle East’s largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services provider and part of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, announced that it has extended its long term relationship with Thomson Airways, one of the world’s largest charter airlines.

Thomson Airways has awarded ten heavy maintenance checks for the 2011/12 winter maintenance period to ADAT. The heavy maintenance agreement comprises three Boeing 757 checks and seven Boeing 767 checks, including a number of end of lease checks and pylon modifications. ADAT has performed more than 30 heavy maintenance checks for Thomson Airways since 2009.

James Stewart, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, commented: “Thomson Airways has been a long-term partner for ADAT and SR Technics, and I am delighted to announce this additional agreement which represents a further endorsement of the service provided by the network.”

“The Dubai Airshow has been a platform for a number of important announcements for the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network and this agreement underlines our focus on providing consistent and reliable turnaround times, offering a wide range of support solutions and establishing long-term partnerships,” Stewart added.

Jason Mahoney, Director of Engineering for Thomson Airways, commented: “This latest agreement with ADAT is an important expansion of our relationship, and I have no doubt that the exemplary service provided by the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network will continue.”
