Zurich, SR Technics and Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, have signed their first technical training agreement. The contract covers over 1000 instructor days of theoretical and practical training on Airbus A320, A330 and A340 as well as difference training, run-up in simulators, health and safety, and aviation/ technical English

The contract will run until February 2010.

SR Technics not only focuses on meeting customers’ needs for effective, high-quality training using the most modern methods, it also does its utmost to provide tailored services. Some of the key factors in SR Technics’ ability to win this contract were its state-of-the- art training methods, exceptional level of instructor knowhow, 50-year industry experience and competitive pricing.

“This is a milestone for SR Technics Technical Training. With this contract we are planning to establish a training footprint in the Gulf region in the future. We are also
going one step further in assuring that the same principles, level of competence and quality standards exist throughout our entire Group,“ says Helmut Himmelreich, Senior Executive Vice President Aircraft Maintenance.

“Etihad Airways is one of world’s fastest growing airlines, and we are pleased that such a prestigious carrier trusts us to train its personnel. In times like these, it is more important than ever for every organisation to train and develop their staffs to be as knowledgeable and efficient as possible. We are committed to helping our customers achieve their aspirations for the long term.”
