Etihad Airways Increases Flights Frequency to Kathmandu, Nepal

Tribhuvan International Airport (Nepali: त्रिभुवन अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थल, IATA: KTM, ICAO: VNKT) is an international airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is the sole international airport in Nepal and has one domestic and one international terminal.

Etihad Airways, announced the increase of the Abu Dhabi-Kathmandu (Nepal) flight service from seven flights per week to a twice daily schedule from November 1, 2013.

The new services will be operated by A320 aircraft fitted with 16 business class seats and 120 economy class seats. 

Kevin Knight, Etihad Airways’ chief strategy and planning officer, said: “The addition of the new flights will further strengthen commercial and cultural ties between Nepal and the UAE and will lead to continued strong growth in traffic flows between Kathmandu, Abu Dhabi and beyond to many key destinations across our global network,”


Since the start of flights to Kathmandu in 2007, Etihad Airways has carried more than 620,000 passengers on this route.
