Qatar Airways to Introduce Maputo, Mozambique Flight Service via its Johannesburg Route

Doha, Qatar Airways today announced its plan to launch scheduled flights to Mozambique, starting 31st October 2012. Three-weekly flight service will operate from Doha to Maputo Mozambique’s capital via Johannesburg, marking the 20th African destination served by the Doha based airline. 

The Maputo service will utilize a Boeing 777 aircraft. While on 25th July 2012, Qatar Airways will commence daily operations to Kilimanjaro, the airline’s second Tanzanian gateway, followed on August 15 by the introduction of daily flights to Mombasa, its second point in Kenya, both destinations mainly focusing on the leisure market.
