Paris, Amstelveen, after signing an 8-year Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) support contract covering its fleet of 777 freighters, LAN Airlines, one of the leading passenger and cargo airlines in Latin America, now enjoys full range of overhaul services from Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M). The APU repair services will be provided by EPCOR, the AFI KLM E&M subsidiary specializing in maintaining APUs and pneumatic components, while pool access will be provided by AFI KLM E&M.
Following their engine and component support agreement this latest accord strengthens the cooperation between AFI KLM E&M and LAN Airlines, extending and completing the initial support contract of the two groups.
In addition to working from its Paris base, AFI KLM E&M will also deliver pool access services from its Miami facility, where LAN Airlines has its main Cargo hub.
Paul Chün, EPCOR’s Managing Director, emphasized “the widespread satisfaction both at AFI KLM E&M, which is extending an earlier contract, and at EPCOR, which will be able to contribute to contract fulfillment with repairs offering the highest quality standards.”
