BOC Aviation Makes First Delivery of Embraer E190 Aircraft to KLM Subsidiary, KLM Cityhopper

BOC Aviation, a fully owned subsidiary of Bank of China, has delivered the first of six Embraer E190 aircraft to KLM subsidiary, KLM Cityhopper, under an operating lease agreement.

Robert Martin, managing director and chief executive officer of BOC Aviation, said: “We are pleased to have KLM as a new customer as BOC Aviation delivers the first aircraft to its subsidiary KLM Cityhopper in a programme to replace its existing fleet for regional flights.

“The E190 is ideal for this strategy.”

Boet Kreiken, managing director of KLM Cityhopper, added:  “The delivery of the aircraft makes this the 23rd  E-190 for KLM Cityhopper’s replacement programme, and is a testimony to our commitment to continuously enhance our passenger comfort, our operational reliability, the efficiency for the bottom line and to limit our environmental footprint.

“We are pleased with BOC Aviation's support for an important phase of KLM Cityhopper's fleet development."

The remaining five E190 aircraft from BOC Aviation will be delivered between December
2013 and April 2014.
