Air Canada Extends GE90 Engine Support Contract with Air France Industries and KLM Engineering & Maintenance
PARIS, AMSTELVEEN - Air France Industries and KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) was awarded the contract to support Air Canada's eleven new GE90 engines associated with the carrier's five new Boeing 777 aircraft.
Air Canada selected AFI KLM E&M in March 2010 to provide exclusive support for its GE90 engines, with a total of 39 engines for 18 aircraft.
The contract covers a broad offerings, from on-site and on-wing operations to shop visits, engine component support, provision of spare engines and engineering services.
AFI KLM E&M, a GE90 MRO supplier currently supporting close to 340 engines of this type on the behalf of 11 customer airlines worldwide
According to the MRO facility, the first GE90 engine complete performance restoration was accomplished by AFI KLM E&M and met all Air Canada's requirements under the GE90 engine support contract.
