GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Leased Airbus A321 Aircraft to Turkey’s Atlasjet

DUBAI - GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing subsidiary of GE, announced delivery of a leased Airbus A321 to Turkish airline Atlasjet Havacilik A.S. as part of the the carrier’s fleet expansion plan.
Atlasjet Havacılık A.Ş. is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, operating domestic and international scheduled passenger services as well as charter flights, mostly out of its base at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, operates a fleet of 15 aircraft to some 20 domestic and international destinations.
The airline was established on 14 March 2001 and started operations on 1 June 2001. Formerly known as Atlasjet International Airlines, it was set up as a subsidiary of Öger Holdings. In 2004 ETS Group acquired a 45% stake, which was increased to 90% in February 2006 following the taking over of Öger's 45% holding.
