Garuda Indonesia Takes Delivery of First Boeing 777-300ER Aircraft

Garuda Indonesia celebrated delivery of the airline’s first 777-300ER (Extended Range)
JAKARTA, Indonesia, Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Garuda Indonesia announced the arrival of the airline's first 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft in Jakarta today.
The long-haul, twin-aisle airplane is the first of 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft delivered to the airline part of the Garuda Indonesia's fleet revitalization program.
Emirsyah Satar, president director of Garuda Indonesia, said:"The 777 is an extraordinary airplane that will bring a new level of experience for our first and business class passengers."
The airline configured its new 777-300ERs with eight first-class suites, 38 business-class seats and 268 seats in economy class. The aircraft is also equipped with in-flight internet connectivity.
Dinesh Keskar, senior vice president Asia Pacific and India Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, added: "We're proud to celebrate this milestone with Garuda Indonesia.
"The world's elite airlines fly the 777 and I'm sure Garuda's passengers will notice the difference from the moment they step on and see the new interior."
The 777-300ER aircraft can fly up to 7,825 nautical miles (14,490 km) and powered by GE90-115B engines.
