AJW Technique begins recruitment drive in partnership with IAMAW Union

In conjunction with the IAMAW Union, AJW Technique extended an invitation to all the employees that were formerly part of the Aveos component maintenance business to attend a formal meeting to discuss future employment possibilities.

These skilled workers will play a key role as the Company moves towards the opening of its new repair facility in 2013.

The local labour force has been without regular work since March of this year and in an atmosphere of expectation, the AJW Technique management team presented an overview of the current and future job opportunities in accordance with the carefully phased opening schedule.

The team outlined the Company’s future plans in the provision of quality component repair and overhaul facilities. In the meeting the AJW Technique team detailed the processes involved with the hiring of new employees and talked about the AJW Group’s international philosophy.

Potential new employees asked a broad range of questions which were addressed by the newly appointed AJW Technique management team. Québec technicians were able to leave the meeting with understanding regarding AJW Technique’s business culture and desired goals.

This meeting served as stage one of the recruitment process and it allowed the management team to interact with potential newcomers. Stage two, which will involve more detailed conversations with those Union members who possess the necessary forward-looking skill sets, will be initiated over the coming weeks, allowing AJW Technique to build its team in line with the facility restart programme.

AJW companies are based out of London, Singapore, Dubai, Miami and Montréal with strategic spares stock held at these locations; across the UK, Europe and North America.  AJW provides sales and service support from a network of offices globally; conducting business in 115 countries.
