Boc aviation to lease eight new boeing 737-800 aircraft

BOC Aviation has signed agreements for the purchase and leaseback of eight new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be leased to GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. (GOL). The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered from first quarter of 2013 through to third quarter of 2014.

 

Edmar Prado Lopes Neto, chief financial officer of GOL, said “We are pleased to develop our relationship with BOC Aviation and appreciate their assistance with financing a significant number of GOL’s B737-800 deliveries through this purchase and leaseback transaction.”

 

“We are delighted to finalise this deal with GOL and support their long-term fleet plans,” said Steven Townend, deputy managing director and chief commercial officer of BOC Aviation. He noted that BOC Aviation had committed approximately US$1.5 billion to new purchase and leaseback transactions in recent months.

 

BOC Aviation is an Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 203 owned and managed aircraft operated by airlines worldwide and another 54 aircraft on firm order and 24 on committed purchase and leaseback for delivery through to 2014. BOC Aviation is 100% owned by Bank of China.
