BOC Aviation Takes Delivery Of First A320 Aircraft With Sharklets

BOC Aviation has taken delivery of its first Sharklet equipped A320 aircraft this week. The aircraft is also the first of its type for the operator, Jetstar Asia. Including this aircraft, BOC Aviation has delivered a total of 20 A320 family aircraft to the Qantas group.

“Our fleet strategy is to acquire young and fuel efficient aircraft,” said Steven Townend, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer of BOC Aviation. “The Sharklets deliver cost savings to our airline customers and we are delighted to share this first with Jetstar Asia,” he added.

BOC Aviation is an Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 203 owned and managed aircraft operated by airlines worldwide and another 99 aircraft on firm order and another 24 on committed purchase and leaseback. BOC Aviation is 100% owned by Bank of China, one of the largest banks in the world. BOC Aviation will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
