Milan, Cargolux Italia is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierandrea Galli as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and Accountable Manager effective 1 January, 2012.

Pierandrea Galli has over 23 years of experience in the aviation industry with Alitalia S.p.A. and Skylink Inc., both in Italy and abroad.

During his tenure at Alitalia S.p.A., Galli was responsible for the company’s revenue management and distribution. He later became the Managing Director of the Americas division before taking up the position of Head of Worldwide Sales. Prior to moving to Skylink, Galli held the role of Senior Vice President Cargo Division.  Up until recently, Galli was the Executive Vice President, Europe & Middle East at Toronto-based Skylink Aviation.

Cargolux Italia will draw on Galli’s extensive experience in the aviation and cargo business to consolidate its presence as the leading Italian all-cargo carrier operating in the domestic market.
