Air France Industries and KLM Engineering & Maintenance Secures two Airbus A340s from Air Madagascar

Paris, Amstelveen, Air France Industries and KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) is providing assistance and support to Air Madagascar during the deployment and initial flight operations of two recently-acquired Airbus A340-300s. The services provided include aircraft preparation, re-painting - livery, transfer and maintenance.
Air Madagascar has restructured its network opting to operate Airbus A340s for flights on its international destinations. Two Airbus A340-300s from Air France's fleet were sold to Air Madagascar after accomplishing cabin modification and repainting work, at AFI KLM E&M's facilities, in Orly and Amsterdam . With the first aircraft delivered in April 2012
Fabrice Defrance, AFI KLM E&M's senior vice president commercial, said, "After renewing their commercial agreement early this year, the AIR FRANCE KLM and Air Madagascar groups are now cooperating in the Maintenance and Engineering sphere. In addition, this transaction on behalf of the Malagasy carrier illustrates and confirms AFI KLM E&M's ability to deliver comprehensive and competitive solutions in a highly-responsive manner and with top quality of services."
The second aircraft was delivered end of June under Malagasy registration 5R-EAA. AFI KLM E&M shall provide maintenance for the two aircraft, covering training, engineering, aircraft, engines and component support.
