BOC Aviation to Lease Two New A321-200 Aircraft to Asiana Airlines

BOC Aviation has signed agreements for the lease of two new Airbus A321-200 aircraft to Asiana Airlines. The aircraft, powered by IAE2533-A5 SelectOne engines, are scheduled for delivery in the second half year of 2013.

Yong Wook Lee, Asiana Airlines’ senior vice president said, “The two aircraft will be used to meet capacity needs on routes in Asia, especially Japan and China which are our two key markets. We are pleased to work with BOC Aviation as we expand our reach in Asia."

Robert Martin, BOC Aviation’s managing director and chief executive officer, added, “We are delighted to conclude this transaction with Asiana Airlines.

“Asiana is one of BOC Aviation’s longest standing customers and we look forward to continuing this relationship for many years to come.” he added.

BOC Aviation is an Asia-wide aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 188 aircraft operated by airlines worldwide and another 63 aircraft on firm order. BOC Aviation is 100% owned by Bank of China, one of the largest banks in the world.
