MTU Maintenance Hannover Completes its 6,000th Engine Overhaul

Hannover, Germany, MTU Maintenance Hannover has completed the overhaul of its 6,000th engine, a CFM56-7B from a South American operator since its first engine input 30 years ago.
The Hannover shop is the centerpiece of the MTU Maintenance group. It has specialized in the maintenance of medium- and large-size commercial engines – including the General Electric CF6-50 and CF6-80C2, Pratt & Whitney PW2000, International Aero Engines V2500 and CFMI CFM56-7. The CFM56-7 series powers Boeing’s Next Generation 737 aircraft.
