Royal Jordanian to Launch Flight Service to a Fifth Destination in Iraq

AMMAN - Royal Jordanian announced the launch of its scheduled operations between Amman and Mosul, in northern Iraq, starting November 12, 2013.

This addition will increase the number of Royal Jordanian destinations in Iraq to five: Baghdad, Basra, Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Mosul.

Initially, Royal Jordanian will operate two weekly flights to Mosul, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, increasing the number of flights between Jordan and Iraq to 28 weekly, including nine weekly flights to each of Baghdad and Erbil and four weekly flights to each of Basra and Sulaymaniyah.

According the to Amman based airline, the service between Mosul and Amman will also serve Iraqi passengers transiting though Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), connecting them with any Royal Jordanian flight.

The flights from QAIA to Mosul depart at 6:15 and reach Mosul at 8:05. The return flight departs Mosul at 8:50 and reaches Amman at 10:45am, a flight duration of one hour and 50 minutes.
