Bahrain Air Appoints Chief Executive Officer

Arad, Bahrain, Bahrain Air, the second national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the appointment of Richard Nuttall as Chief Executive Officer. Nuttall has taken over this new role with effect from 1st of December 2011.

On this occasion,  Nuttall expressed his enthusiasm for his new assignment by saying “I am both honored and excited to be given this opportunity. Whilst 2011 has been an extremely challenging year for airlines operating within the Middle East, Bahrain Air has come a long way in its three years of operation. We have a great team and our goal now is to become Bahrain’s airline of choice within the region.”

Meanwhile,  Ibrahim Al Hamer, Managing Director of Bahrain Air, said “We are glad that the Board of Directors took a wise decision by appointing Mr. Nuttall as CEO since he carries a wealth of experience in airline commercial operations. Prior to joining Bahrain Air as Director Commercial Operations a year and half ago, he worked in senior positions with Cathay Pacific Airways, Philippine Airlines, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings and Kenya Airways”. Al Hamer added “we are confident that Mr. Nuttall is going to play an important role in improving revenue flow of the airline as well as the load factor of our operations which will contribute to strengthening the company’s commercial aspects and its positive existence in the aviation market during the coming years”. Al Hamer concluded by wishing  Nuttall all the success and progress with his new responsibilities as CEO.
