Bahrain Air Implements Online Debit Card Payment and Travel Insurance

Bahrain, Bahrain Air, announced it is offering passengers travel insurance and accepting debit card online payments through their web portal. While booking, passengers have the option to include travel insurance, the service is  provided by Mondial Assistance, covering flight cancellations, lost luggage, emergency medical expenses and other features.

Abdulla Musaiger, manager systems development, said, “We are trying to get closer to our customers and these value added services are some of the many initiatives that we are taking.  The acceptance of debit cards is a convenient and time saving tool to our customers and expands our payment channels.  This feature of paying for tickets with Bahrain issued debit cards will be extended to GCC countries at a later stage.”

“We are close to enabling our loyal customers with the option of booking through kiosks conveniently spread around Bahrain.”

According to the airline its has extended its flight booking distribution channels covering  their official website, third party travel online portals and in-company call center. In addition to the sales showrooms in a number of locations in Bahrain, their home base.
