GOL Airlines of Brazil Joins the TRUEngine Program for its CFM56-7B Powered Boeing 737-700 and -800

Farnborough Air Show, the Brazilian low-cost carrier GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. has joined the engine manufacturer maintenance compliance program TRUEngine, qualifying the CFM56-7B engines in its fleet for the program. The TRUEngine designation serves as a method for identifying engines with CFM-approved content and facilitates product support of the engine system.  Read More

United Continental Holdings Orders LEAP-1B-Powered 737 MAX Aircraft and Expands CFM56-7B Fleet

Farnborough Air Show, United Continental Holdings, parent company of United Airlines, today announced a firm order for 100 advanced LEAP-1B-powered Boeing 737 MAX airplanes. Additionally, the airline ordered 50 additional CFM56-7B-powered Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER aircraft. The combined value of the engine order, together with a long-term service agreement, is approximately US$5.0 billion at list price. Read More

CFM International Announced $12.6 Billion in New Orders During the Farnborough Air Show

Farnborough Air Show, CFM International has announced during the recent weeks orders and commitments valuing US$12.6 billion at list price covering 922 new engines marking a total of 1,792 engines for 2012. According the engine manufacturer, the demand for the CFM56 remains strong while the LEAP engines continues to show momentum, with the total orders for the latter to date stands at 3,752 engines.  Read More

Rolls-Royce Secures Trent 700 Engine Order from Garuda Indonesia

Rolls-Royce, has secured an order from Garuda Indonesia Airlines for Trent 700 engines to power 11 Airbus A330 aircraft. The contract includes long-term TotalCare® service support.
