Russian Helicopters Release Preliminary Production and Financial Figures for 2013

Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, released preliminary production and financial figures for 2013 prior to publishing the company's annual report. The Russian helicopter maker produced 303 helicopters for Russian and international customers with an anticipated consolidated profit of more than 140 billion rubles (US$ 4.262 billion) for 2013. SÃO JOSÉ DOS CAMPOS, Brazil – Embraer Executive Jets’ newest aircraft, the Legacy 450, made its first flight today. Embraer test pilots Eduardo Camelier and Eugênio Cará, supported by flight test engineer Carlos Kobayashi, flew the aircraft for one hour and thirty-five minutes, conducting the evaluation of handling and performance characteristics.  Read More

Cathay Pacific Airways Orders GE Engines to Power the Boeing 777-300ER and 747-8 Freighter

EVENDALE, OH - Cathay Pacific Airways ordered from GE Aviation, an operating unit of GE (NYSE: GE) the GE90-115B engine to power three Boeing 777-300ERs and the GEnx-2B engine to power a Boeing 747-8 Freighter. Cathay Pacific also signed a 15-year agreement to cover the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the engines.  Read More
