AFI KLM E&M to Provide Support for Myanmar Airways International Airbus A320 CFM56-5B Engines

PARIS, AMSTELVEEN - Myanmar Airways International (MAI) recently singed an exclusive contract with Air France Industries and KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) to provide engine support for the CFM56-5B engines powering the airlines' fleet of A320 family aircraft. 

Myanmar Airways International Co., Ltd. is the international flag carrier of Myanmar, headquartered in Yangon. It operates scheduled international services to destinations mainly in Southeast Asia. The carrier is based at Yangon International Airport, MAI is fully owned by Myanmar's Kanbawza Bank Limited (KBZ)  which also launched the domestic carrier Air KBZ in 2011. The bank was established on 1 July 1994 in Taunggyi, Shan State.

In July 2012, MAI selected AFI KLM E&M for the component support of the airlines' fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
