Smart Aviation is based in Cairo International Airport. commencing its operations in 2007 serving the business,  and executive air travel. It is the first in Egypt to offer the referred  services. Its services covers both domestic and international destinations.

Company partly owned by by EgyptAir. First operator of a business aviation in Egypt to serve businessmen.

In 2009, the company's business has expanded to include medical evacuations in the form of an air ambulance, after they had signed an agreement with the National Bank of Egypt for a loan worth $ 45 million to finance its expansion.

Ownership: is a joint stock company and the shareholders are: 
The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation 60%, Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation 20%, Egypt Air 20% .

Bombardier Sells Two Q400 NextGen Turboprops to Smart Aviation of Egypt

Cessna Placing First Medevac Sovereigns with Egypt's Smart Aviation

Wichita, Kan.,  Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today Egypt's Smart Aviation will take delivery this year of the first two Citation Sovereigns certified for medical evacuation (medevac) with a dual-patient system from LifePort. The two medevac Sovereigns are part of a six-aircraft order from Smart.
