Main base is Cairo International (CAI). In 2002 EgyptAir ceased the operations of a charter subsidiary, Shorouk Air, which was owned jointly with Kuwaiti shareholders. In 2003 EgyptAir acquired majority shares of Air Cairo hence it was re-positioned as EgyptAir's "charter partner", offering domestic and international charter services and operates inclusive tour flights to Egypt from Europe, Africa and Asia.
