Doha International Airport: Senior Manager Information Services   

About Your Job::

• In this role, you will establish an appropriate and cost effective information systems strategy to support business strategy and growth plans for the airport operator (DIA). You will lead the development of annual and rolling budgets related to application systems for business areas in line with business specific IT strategy. 
• You will negotiate and agree the work programme and manage its execution through a mix of onsite and off-shore projects. Take full ownership for its delivery and manage a team of vendors, analysts, designers and developers to deliver within agreed costs and timeframes. You must manage the scope and review all business cases regularly to ensure QR group gets the best possible return from its IT investments. 
• You should also ensure optimised usage of licences and own all contract executions. You will be the single point contact in the senior management team for all IT business solutions, services and requirements and own the delivery of the same. You must address all escalations to senior management in a timely manner and resolve conflicting requirements from business units.
• You will manage the applications through their lifecycle, ensuring that applications requiring replacement due to functional and/or technological obsolescence are planned for well in advance and the required investments obtained. 
• You will manage all outsourced/hosted IT application services ensuring that service providers meet agreed service levels and the solutions are periodically benchmarked against competitive solutions in terms of functionality, technology and cost. 
• You must develop and maintain a close and effective working relationship with senior business managers by maintaining a full understanding of the business domain, industry and related systems. 
• You must constantly and pro-actively seek opportunities to improve the way business is conducted and keep abreast of industry trends and new industry developments and technology changes.

About You::

• To be successful in this role, you must hold a Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Engineering discipline, from an accredited university. Master’s degree will be an additional advantage
• You must have at least five years of experience at a senior management level with accountability for development, integration and operations of critical airport operational and decision support systems, at a major international hub airport. 
• You must also have at least 10 years of experience in successful development, integration and implementation of very large and complex enterprise / operational systems.  Experience of developing mobility and GIS solutions is desirable.  
• Corporate account management experience gained in both multi-national and multi-cultural environments would be an added benefit.
