About Your Job:

  • In this role you will be responsible for planning, directing and controlling all selling and marketing activities and penetrate the local market to secure new sources of revenue. 
  • You will have to effectively manage accounts and key customers and effectively plans sales calls, submit sales calls plans, and sales reports as required.  You have to assist customers/ clients with all information related to booking/ forwarding / delivery liaising with local Ground Handling agents to ensure / enhance a satisfactory service. 
  • You will generate cargo sales in order to meet or exceed the set revenue/tonnage target for stations. 
  • You will coordinate with the GHA Staff to provide the best service, monitor GHA SLA achievement and performance penalties to be actioned as per SLA. You will also have to ensure the achievement of the agreed cargo sales performance target beyond the GHA SLA's while maintaining 100% compliance with all safety and security requirements.
  • You will have to maintain regular contacts with the Cargo industry(Agent, Key clients, businees partners etc and visit to all cargo agents / shippers and other Government institutions even after duty hours will be there. 
  • You will be invloved in the research and report of other airlines practices, rates and recommend corrective action through evaluation /study of QR's market share, traffic movements etc. 
  • You will esnsure QR's participation in sales campaigns and events, assist customer and clients with all information related to booking/forwarding/delivering and liasing with the local Ground Handling agents and with the Cargo Head office.
  • You will prepare and maintain stock and inventory of of QR Cargo promotional items and distribution and cooirdinate all customer claims with the suport of Cargo claims department HDQ and ensure they are resolved.

About You:

  • You must have completed University Graduation and have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the Airfreight industry on the Airline Sales & Marketing. 
  • Knowledge on Cargo Marketing, Basic Rating and DGR experience is also required as well as an understanding of IATA/TACT regulations and their impact on sales. 
  • You will be computer literate and familiar with MS Office applications (Word, Excel Power Point and Access). You should have strong interpersonal and management capabilities along with strong communication skills & good command in English.
